I live up on Whidbey Island and my daughter bought a house across the road. Distance between the two houses is some where between 700 to 1000 feet. No trees in between. We both have network LAN systems, I have three computer she has two. It would be nice to be able to link to two networks together with indoor antennas. I'm an old electronic technician that has been out dated as I know enough to know I know nothing about wireless other then there is such a thing. Them protocols standards Wireless LAN security are way over my head. There is no access to DSL, when Verizon took over from GTE they gutted the program to wire the rural customers, so we are looking to find a wireless provider or Satellite solution to meet our high speed needs. So I could use help in the choice of components to install such a link at a modest cost that would be reliable.
The other thing I have going is I set up two fringe TV antennas pointed toward Seattle and Vancouver, so on the south antenna, I can get channels 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 16, 20, 22, 28, 33, 42, 45, 51, 56 and the north pointing antenna receives 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 26, 32. Not all come in that good but most are very viewable. Instead installing a new antenna system does anyone know of any products out there to take the signal I receive and multiplex them and transmit that signal and decode that signal for her house.
