Boycott Clearwire

All I'll say on this on this matter is:
1. Clearwire's a great company to work for, regardless of the politics of the owner. I thank God every day I arrive at work (especially after having been laid off this year at my last employer).
2. Good luck to anyone searching for carrier-class broadband (or, any good or service) from a provider of which the ownership and leadership is not someway tainted by association with the GOP. Qwest? Verizon? Cingular? T-Mobile? Comcast? Speakeasy? CenturyTel?
3. The tattooed-and-pierced technical staff, it's fair to say, are no friends of the GOP - yours truly included. This year part of my Clearwire paychecks funded the campaigns of Darcy Burner and Jim Webb (of Virginia). Moreover, plenty of these folks own options in the company - if our IPO goes well these folks we will all have more disposable income with which to do the same - Mr. McCaw said it's OK :-)
4. Plenty of my solidly Democratic friends have expressed interest in Clearwire's service - especially when I tell them about our $19/month for the first three months promotion :-)
5. You can use your Clearwire subscription for any kind of activism you desire ;-)
Merry Christmas!
