Now that Craig has proven to be a sponsor to lunacy maybe he can be turned
to reason. McCaw will be around and growing his influence rapidly over the
next few years imo. Beat him over the head with his foolishness, (we are
all idiots, just some are too stupid not to know it), but only if that might
influence him and others in positions of power to do something different.
Boycotts among wireless groups has no chance of changing anything. How many
people are you going to reach? How many do you project to turn to this way
of thinking to boycott? ClearWire is trying to capture a small percent of
the market... 80% of people won't care one way or the other about Clearwire,
let alone about a boycott of the 10% market solution player.
A boycott makes sense for things people are buying in large enough numbers
for it to become a public issue... for this it is nonsense imo.
