Politics - free

I'm stoked they finally decided to drop the morse code requirement, it
will hopefully give some new life to a fading hobby and form of
communication. (I'm a Tech No-Code).

They did take public comments, and I think it took so long just because
it's the FCC and they a long time to do anything. ;-)

Speaking of which, how do you feel about the dropping of Morse code
proficiency from the amateur radio license testing? It was dropped
internationally in 2003 but the FCC only announced it on the 15th of
this
month. I know it's been a divisive subject for the past couple of years
but I didn't know if the FCC was actually taking comments from the
public
or had other reasons for waiting this long to decide.
