Dynamic DNS references?

I have used dyndns' free dynamic service and custom host service.  Both
worked as advertised.  The 3rd party update clients are very simply and
rock solid.  

While I definitely recommend dyndns with no second thoughts, I haven't
used other dynamic services.

I'm looking for opinions on the dynamic dns providers (no-ip, dyndns,
etc.)
for a laptop-on-the-go which can use wifi, eVDO or a (forgive me) wired
connection.  From some locations I would need to be able to turn off the
client.   Any caveats or blatant shameless plugs?
