I switched to a Novatel USB720 and have these:

Sierra AirCard 595 - EVDO Rev A (latest firmware)
Sierra AirCard PC5220 (1xRTT)

Solid cards.  Verizon network (may work with Sprint and others).  Make offer
(PayPal is your friend).
