Rob and the 101km link

Rob appeared in the Joe Bar after spending some time in Trieste at  
the ITCP... lucky guy).

While there they ran a 101 Km (62.7 mile) wireless link from Trieste  
to Piancavallo at 600kbps.

Not mentioned in the article are the antennae -- 1m dish on the  
mountain and a 1.5m dish on the other.

As you can see it looks like a summer SWN meeting with people  
ignoring the view and concentrating on the laptops ...
