I’m going to be at OSCON next Wednesday and Thursday with the HelixCommunity crew. I haven’t been to Portland for a while, but every time I find myself there, I have a good time. The conference looks action packed, so I expect I’ll be all over the grid. One thing that I can’t miss (hangover or not) is the BOF session where jfarr is going to show off all the fancy goodness you can do using the the Helix open source client. Anyone else who’s interested in set top box hackery should definitely be there!

I’m kind of bummed I’m going to miss the talks by both Rob and Schuyler, but one of the conditions of my trip down is that I’m back on Friday, in my seat and happy. I wonder if they bribed my boss to avoid the heckling.

I still haven’t figured out if I’m hitching a ride or taking the train down, where I’m staying, or what bars I will end up in. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
