Field Day 2003 is tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we’re going out to Alki Beach in West Seattle, and connecting to Magnolia Park with a temporary wireless link. We’re going to try to get on the rest of the SWN as well as show off some cool multimedia demos.

Setting up in parks is weird because none of the usual rules apply. There is no power, we can’t put stakes in the ground, and there are a bunch of non-geek parkgoers who dont understand what you’re doing and want to ask questions about it. I’ve been packing up gear for the past day and know i’m going to end up forgetting something. Luckily, when you’ve got a bunch of wireless geeks hanging out, there is redundancy in nearly everything.

I’m not sure how many people are going to show up, but so far there is a 40′ bus, a plane and a helicopter.
