HackNight Details

It must be winter again. Lots of interesting stuff going on. I decided to take some pictures for this update.

  • Re-configuration of Peter Yorke’s 4521.
  • Peter also showed off his SMC media player. Similar to the Prismiq, this sends video and audio to your TV over the network. 802.11g, 802.11b and 802.11a in this little bugger. Neat stuff.
  • We spent some time talking with Glynn Taylor of HotSpotVPN and CAWNet about how his publicly accessible VPN Hosts can protect users, provide anonymity and are generally a good thing.
  • David McDonald talked about reverse triangulation techniques and showed off his cool location demo.
  • Guy with a parrot showed up
  • Startide Rising showed up with his iKlear screen stuff and cleaned my grubby screen.
  • The BitTorrent Discussion.
  • Crispin showed up with a cantenna from his SF garage sale hunting.
  • Jerrit Collord from Linux Fund showed up with some WRV54Gs, and even left one for us to hack on!

These pictures didn’t turn out that great. I’ll try to take some better ones in the daytime.
