In my never-ending search to find a replacement for kozmo.com, I came across Restaurants To Go. It’s a restaurant delivery service that also provides some convenience store shopping.
From what I can tell (through whois), they used to be Culinary Couriers, a company that I had used before, but always seemed a little expensive and never had anything that great.
Last night, however, things worked out really well. With just a little time on the website, we had an order for Pepper Cheese Steak sandwiches (and cheese fries) from Philly’s Best, A six pack of redhook, cigarettes, and even a half gallon of milk for our morning coffee.
The site told us that it would take a little over an hour for our order, but in 45 minutes there was a knock at the door. The beer was cold and the sandwiches were piping hot.
As with all post-kozmo finds, there was a minimum order per stop, an overall delivery charge and a slight markup on all items. Oh well, sometimes you have to pay to be this lazy.
