More micro radio

I noticed the other day that Fred Meyer is selling little FM transmitters for connecting mp3 players and whatnot to car stereos. I picked one up today for $16, wired power into it (I hate batteries) and put it in a prominent place in the apartment. I walked around with my little wind-up radio, and I can get OK reception through about half of the building on the north side. Outside reception is a little dodgy, but the garden is protected by a rather large tree. After all the hassle I’ve had trying to get the prismiq working with my low end server, latency on music between rooms while streaming internet stations, and all the other nightmares involved with Internet music, I think this is just great.

I’m currently streaming my music collection on random, but will be switching it back to Air America Radio during the weekdays.
