I’m 37, I live in Seattle, Washington with my wife Brenna and our kids Mason and Lucille. Specifically, we live and work on Capitol Hill. I have another blog for my neighborhood antics at 8BLOCKWALK
Back in the summer of 2000, I started a project called SeattleWireless. It was one of the first community wireless network projects, and it has become one of the largest repositories of community wireless information. Because of this, I’ve been quoted in a few noteable publications, spoken at various technology conferences and met a ton of interesting people. Here is a page of Press Coverage if you want someone else’s opinion of the whole thing. Of course, If you want mine, you’ll have to ask me.
A few years ago, I started a company called Metrix Communication LLC. We make high quality wireless networking kits. You should treat yourself and buy some.
I carry around my camera most of the time. I’m on the eye-fi beta, so most of my pictures are automatically uploaded to flickr and geotagged. If I’ve given you a moo card, you should go digging around in Flickr Photos.
If you want me to do something really interesting for you, for money, I try to keep my resume up to date. If you just want to send me money for some other reason (bribes and gratuities), I do accept paypal, credit cards and amex.
To contact me, drop me an email: mattw -at- seattlewireless.net or IM me with Jabber/Gtalk at the same address.
